Speaker Cancellation?
Meet Pinch Hit Speaker,

Under these circumstances, Marnie can typically be on air live within minutes or in person at your venue within 24 hours.

Introduction Suggestions

After the introduction of the topic, giving the title, say…

Our guest tonight/today is as hard to describe as she is to book. As a Pinch Hit Speaker she only travels to events where the original speaker had to cancel due to a last minute emergency.

She has come to us, with just ___ hours/days notice, because our speaker, _________________, couldn't make it.

[At this point, increase volume and project enthusiasm, excitement and anticipation.]

I am pleased to introduce to you the author of 10 books, the webhostess of several major Internet sites generating millions of hits each year, the owner of a retail store, an espresso cafe and a Mexican restaurant. Hailing from her small town home in Minnesota, six miles south of the Canadian border.

Please help me welcome our guest, Marnie Swedberg.

[Note: The first "e" in Swedberg rhymes with "red".]

After Dinner/Keynote Address

Dealing with Disappointment - This keynote is ideally suited for audiences whose hope of hearing a particular speaker have been dashed. What is lacked in audience anticipation, she leverages with humor, personal stories and visuals. Guests are carried along through Marnie's first-hand survival stories including car accidents, fires, floods, tornadoes, ambulance rides, hospitalizations, surgeries, robberies and death threats, and leave encouraged, excited and equipped to find the good in every challenge life tosses them.

The words you spoke on Saturday night went straight to my heart.
Mary Daniels, Retreat Participant

"Thank you again for the way you glorify the Lord. You are absolutely radiant. Thank you."
Jennifer Swanson, Conference Participant

GENERAL TOPIC CATEGORIES
Minimum: One session of 20 - 90 minutes
Maximum: Four sessions of 20 - 90 minutes
(may include break-outs followed by group forums)

Your Topic – Experience as both an event planner and a speaker provide a sensitivity to the extensive preparations that have gone into your event - from idea generation, to theme selection, to the coordination and carry-through of every little detail. As a Pinch Hit Speaker, you will be delighted to watch how she seamlessly weaves her material into your predetermined theme. She is well versed on the following topic areas, but more importantly, she is sensitive to sharing the precise combination of stories, humor, inspiration and challenge required to touch the deepest needs of those present.

"When my speaker for a series of e-Publishing workshops cancelled,
Marnie came to the rescue. Not only did she agree to speak at seven library locations,
but agreed to do it in the middle of a brutal, northern Minnesota winter.
I highly recommend Marnie. She’s the most versatile person I’ve met
and no project is too large for her to tackle.
She brings more than you ever envisioned to the product,
giving you a level of excellence that goes way beyond your original expectations.
She only delivers quality. There’s no one else out there like her.

Barbara Jauquet-Kalinoski, NW Regional Library Director

Life & Time Management – “The North Country’s Wonder Woman*” will share the paradigms and practicalities which enable her (and others) to lead a "joy-full" life. Her unique approach to life, time management and relationships will be fully detailed in the 2011 release of her latest book, "Super Busy: Success Strategies via Marnie". *Newspaper headline.

Personality Power – Myers/Briggs, DISC, the LaHayes, Taylor-Johnson, Jung and countless others all agree that there are four general categories of personality types with multiple underlying combinations. This presentation features Marnie's original personality profile system, as featured in the 2010 Focus on the Family book release, "Raising a Modern Day Princess Journal." Guests will learn how to champion the power of the individual, how to live their own life to the fullest while bringing out the best in others.

Mom's On the Winnin' Team – Take a trip with this mother of young adults, two of whom were home schooled from K-12 while the youngest is graduating from public school this year. Guests of either gender, with home- or public schooled children, with kids ranging from birth to young adult, will relate, as they learn numerous life-changing practicalities.

"Marnie allows God to give her fresh understanding of His work in her life and is able to glean from the joys, sorrows, struggles and successes she is experiencing. Her humor, sense of detail, compassion, understanding, along with her ability to communicate heart issues always leave me refreshed and encouraged." Gwynn Conrad, Missionary to Spain, Avant Missions

Beauty from the Inside Out – A poll of movie stars found that 100% were dissatisfied with their appearance. During these powerful sessions, with this 200+ pound, size 24 speaker, guests are challenged to differentiate themselves from their bodies and to maximize and appreciate every personal-growth opportunity, regardless of the distance between the start and finish points.

The Friendship Factor – Friendships are a gift: Some are easy, some are hard, and some need to be severed. In these sessions, guests learn how to value and grow from each relationship in life.

Gaining Spiritual Depth – Forget your lists of things to do, places to go, and rules to follow - no more would-a, could-a, should-a! Instead, guests will be challenged tackle the unseen in a personal, relational way as they hear personal stories, Scriptural paradigms and positive challenges that steer toward a deeper, more meaningful relationship with God.
